DESCRIPTION:An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to review and vote on changes to the current member subscription fees. \n\n\n\nWe will also share our goals\, actions and planned events for 2025. \n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held on Wednesday 19th Feb from 7-9pm in the Stones Room at RISC. \n\n\n\nRCC proposes to increase the membership fees from the 1st March 2025 as follows: \n\n\n\n\nAnnual – Individual: from £3 to £5\n\n\n\nAnnual – Joint/Family: from £5 to £8\n\n\n\nFive years – Individual: from £12 to £20\n\n\n\nFive years – Joint/Family from £20 to £32\n\n\n\n\nThe option for life membership for new members be withdrawn. \n\n\n\nThe proposed membership fee increase will support our online and in-person plans to develop our current cycling community. The fee has not increased since 1983 when we started! \n\n\n\nWe will continue to lobby the local authorities to improve cycling access and safety in the Reading area. Roger\, who was awarded an MBE for services to cycling in 2015\, will outline the group’s “Transport Choices Challenge” for local authorities. \n\n\n\nThe Challenge is for transport networks to be planned differently\, so as to give real choices in how we go about our daily lives.
