SUMMARY:RCC Open Meeting - Share you views on Reading's Transport Strategy 2040
DESCRIPTION:Our next Open Meeting will be on Wednesday 21st February (7:30pm) at RISC\, London Street. \n\n\n\nThis is a chance to give your views on Reading’s Transport Strategy to 2040 and what you think the priorities are to make Reading a cycle-friendly town and get more people cycling.  Reading Council has published its draft strategy here and we have invited councillors from the opposition parties along to give us their views on it. \n\n\n\nWe previously submitted our own comments on the draft strategy and are seeking a meeting with the council before the strategy gets officially adopted. \n\n\n\nThe discussion will be held in the Main Hall at RISC\, entry is from the rear of the building.  We are aiming to have a Zoom link for those who can’t make it in person\, email: secretary@readingcyclecampaign.org.uk for more information.

DESCRIPTION:Join Kidical Mass on Saturday 17th February at 2pm for a short group-led ride\, starting and finishing at Elms Field. \n\n\n\nThis ride will be chilly but fun\, so bring gloves and a smile for some cycling fun and to show others we want safe active travel routes all year round! \n\n\n\n What is Kidical Mass? Kidical Mass is about making space on the roads for the future generation\, one bike ride at a time. We have adults providing a network of marshals and guides to make it safe for all. \n\n\n\nWho can take part? The ride is open to anyone who has a bike\, and it’s suitable for all ages and abilities. Don’t let the name fool you\, it’s not just for children! Parents\, guardians\, siblings\, and friends are all welcome to join in the fun. Just turn up and pedal! \n\n\n\n What do you need? To participate\, all you need is a bike in working order and a helmet to ensure safety. We want everyone to enjoy the ride while prioritising their well-being. \n\n\n\n All bikes are welcome! Whether you have cargo bikes\, tandems\, recumbents\, trikes\, bikes with stabilisers\, tag-alongs\, trailers\, or bikes with child seats\, bring them all along! \n\n\n\n How to take part? It’s simple! Kidical Mass is free\, and there’s no need to book in advance.
