Rides for the ‘Safer Streets Network’ Action Day

Rides for the Safe Streets Now action day:

• in Reading – KidicalMass circular ride from the Thames Lido (We’ll also have free bike repairs from 1:00 thanks to Dr Bike!) — see Facebook event
• in Wokingham – KidicalMass circular ride from Elms Fields Playground

For Reading meet at the Thames Lido at 13.00 to see Dr Bike (FREE Bike Checks) or 14.00 to Bling your Bike. We’ll set off at 14.15 for an all-age friendly slow ride around the city centre, calling for safer streets. All welcome to join on bikes, scooters, skates etc.

Let’s make children “seen and heard” in Reading!

We will be calling for local and national politicians to prioritise children’s safety, mobility and health by making streets safe for all users across the city. We will end with a “Safe Streets Now!” rally, speeches and play in Kings Meadow.

Reading Schedule:
13:00: Dr Bike for FREE bike repairs and a chance to bling your bike
14:00 Meet outside the Lido & bling your bike!
14:15 Set off for mass slow ride around centre
15:00: Rally, play and picnic in Kings Meadow
15:44: End and ride home
Important! The rides will be stewarded but parents are fully responsible for their children at all times.
