Council Meetings & Plans

To read the Reading Cycle Campaign (RCC) reports from Reading Borough Council (RBC) Cycle Forum, Wokingham Borough Council (WoBC) and West Berkshire Council (WBC) Meetings, go to: Latest Campaigns

RBC Cycle Forum is a six-monthly meeting of RBC Councillors, Transport Officers and cycle interest groups (RCC, Cycling UK, Sustrans, GREN). This is where we push for better cycle facilities and scrutinise what the Council has done to make Reading a more cycle-friendly town. See the meeting minutes: Cycle Forum Minutes

The RBC Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) sets out ambitious plans to transform our streets and encourage more people to choose cycling and walking for local journeys, or as part of longer multi-modal journeys: Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan

Bikeability

Reading Borough Council offers Bikeability to all schools across Reading. These courses are based on the National Cycle Training Standard and aim to give children the skills and confidence to ride their bikes safely on today’s roads. Our local partner Avanti Cycling also offers Adult and Family training sessions:  Bikeability
