Bike theft is a growing problem in Reading, and its impact goes far beyond the financial loss.
A bike can be the main way to get to work, to take children to school, to access local shops, pubs etc or to simply stay active (and have fun!).
We’re working with a local journalist on an article exploring the impact of bike theft in Reading, and the stories behind the statistics. Thames Valley Police data and official figures tell part of the story, but they don’t capture the personal consequences.
That’s why your story is important.
