Pedal and Post’s mission is to cut carbon emissions, air pollution and inner-city congestion by delivering parcels in UK cities using e-cargo bikes.
The company now plans to expand to Reading next year!
To help achieve this, they have launched a share offer and to raise up to £500,000 through a crowdfunding campaign on the investment platform Ethex.
CEO of Pedal and Post Chris Benton said:
“Cargo bikes can deliver more parcels per hour than the average van, and produce 92 per cent less greenhouse gas emissions per delivery.”
Pedal & Post delivers 1,000 parcels a day across Oxford and employs 23 people but wants to see the number of parcels delivered rise to 8,000 a day.
The company’s planned expansion includes the aim of increasing revenues to £5.5 million and creating 140 jobs.
